Analysis of the flora of areas around the water basins of Mingachevir

Summary

During the research conducted in the areas around the water basins of Mingachevir in 2021-2024, the distribution of 158 species of plants belonging to 30 families and 78 genera was determined in the wild flora of the area. A flora synopsis of the species identified during the research was developed, the taxonomic structure, life forms, geographical areal types, ecological groups and endemicity of the local flora were reflected. It was determined that the oaceae Barnhart, Amaranthaceae Juss., Asteraceae Giseke, Fabaceae Juss. and Cyperaceae Juss. families found in the area are represented by more species. During the research, vegetation types (6 vegetation types, 8 formation classes, 9 formation groups, 10 associations) where the identified species are found in the formation of the wild flora of the area and schemes for the classification of these vegetation types were also developed. It has been determined that recent environmental problems, including anthropogenic factors, have a direct effect on the flora and vegetation of the area. From this point of view, conducting floristic studies on regions and geographical analysis of flora creates a need for geobotanical or phytocenological studies to be carried out in the future
