Regarding the flora and vegetation of the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur
Summary
The article contains information about the past, present and future forecasts of the flora and vegetation of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, subject to occupation for 30 years. Based on literature materials and floristic inspections conducted in recent years, a comparative analysis of areas of the region with the protection status was given and the latest situation was evaluated. The main goal is to determine the damage to nature and determine the road map for the sustainable development of the country. The destruction of a unique ecosystem, a dense forest stand formed by valuable and perennial trees consisting of oak, juniper, beech, hornbeam, pine, ash, and walnut, as well as oriental plane with a total area of more than 8,000 hectares, has been the most severe impact to biodiversity. In general, it was known that up to 2500-2800 plants spread in the area. The distribution of such rich biological diversity mainly in specially protected nature areas and the importance of re-inspecting the areas for the protection of those species was emphasized. This type of research is predicted to continue for many years.
