Ecological evaluation of the leaf blade of the Oriental plane (Platanus orientalis L.) distributed in Basitchay State Nature Reserve based on the asymmetry of the fluctuating variability

Summary

The article deals with the use of fluctuating asymmetry (FA) variability of leaf blade of the Oriental plane (Platanus orientalis L.) spread in the Basitchay State Nature Reserve as a phytoindicator. The main goal of research was to conduct an ecological assessment of environment based on the morphogenetic approach. Calculations were made on indexes, that is, the ratio of sizes, as indicators of leaf blade forms. After evaluating the FA indicators for different years, FA correlation coefficient was calculated. As a result of research, it was determined that the value of FA indicators was not higher than 0.045 in most points. This shows that the ecological environment in the protected area is at the optimal living level for living organisms.
