Taxonomic composition of the genus Woodruff (Asperula L.) in Azerbaijan
Summary
Based on the results of a study of literary sources and herbarium materials from the fund, as well as those collected during the expedition, the article presents information about the area of distribution, growing conditions, taxonomic composition and nomenclatural changes of the genus Asperula L., widespread in Azerbaijan. As a result of the research, it was established that species belonging to the Asperula underwent nomenclatural changes, while the status of some species was retained, while others received the status of synonyms. Thus, taking into account the latest nomenclatural changes, it was found that 3 species were transferred to the genus Galium, 1 species to the genus Cynanchyca, and 6 species and 1 subspecies of this genus are encountered on the territory of the republic.
