Inspection of the flora of Eastern Zangazur and surrounding areas

Summary

The herbarium specimens stored in the Herbarium fund of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Education, RA before the occupation were examined, and at the same time, they were compared with the herbarium specimens collected from the territories liberated from the occupation. Among these specimens, there are rare, endemic, critically endangered species (Zelkova carpinifolia (Pall.) K.Koch, Pyrus salicifolia Pall., Alcea sachsachanica Iljin, Tragopogon karjaginii Kuth.) included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan, and during the comparison, it was determined that many species were destroyed. However, many species like Crataegus orientalis M.Bieb., Platanus orientalis L., Datura stramonium L., Cuscuta campestris Yunck, Veronica anagallis-aquatica L., Lythrum salicaria L., Capparis spinosa L. and etc. are found.
