Regularity of distribution of the species belonging to the Valerianoideae Raf. sub-family on vertical zones in Nakhchivan AR, their life forms and bioecological characteristics

Summary

The systematic position of the species included in sub-family Valerianoideae Raf. was clarified, their bioecological characteristics were studied, the distribution of genera and species according to floristic types was carried out, the life form, geographical range, ecological group and field of application were studied. The representatives of the genus Valerianella distributed in the study area are annual herbs, and the representatives of the genus Valeriana are sub-shrubs. They are mainly mesophytic and mesoxerophytic plants. The analysis of the patterns of distribution by altitude zones showed that representatives of both genera are more common in high mountain areas, alpine and subalpine zones. In the study conducted according to geographical areas, species distrubution on ranges are as follows: Mediterranean Sea - 5, Caucasus - 4, Asia Minor - 2, Iran - 2, Eastern Mediterranean Sea, Europe-Siberia, Iran-Turan and Europe-Siberian - 1 species.
