Preservation and protection of the composition of phytocoenoses formed by legumes distributed in the desert and semi-desert vegetation of the Absheron peninsula

Summary

In the course of research conducted in 2020- 2022, 4 formation classes, 4 formation groups, and 6 associations related to 2 vegetation types (desert-coastal-psammophyte (sandy) deserts and semi-desert) were identified in the classification of phytocenoses of legumes distributed in the desert and semi-desert vegetation of the Absheron Peninsula. Also, during the study, phytocenoses formed by legumes, their species composition, structure and endemic, rare and endangered plants found there were identified. The protection of phytocenoses found in these studied types of vegetation, consisting mainly of leguminous plants, as well as, enrichment of summer and winter pastures, are one of the most urgent problems of our time in the context of agricultural development.
