The current state of the species Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. ex DC. in the flora of Azerbaijan

Summary

Ranges of 6 species of licorice plants were determined during the study of the species composition of phytocenoses formed by leguminous plants in mountain xerophytes, steppes, pits and sucaq meadows of different botanical geographical regions of Azerbaijan. Ural licorice is one of the species which range was determined. During the study the current state of the population of this species was assessed, its ontogenetic structure, age spectra were identified, the phytocenoses formed, their species composition, structure and ability to adapt to environmental conditions were determined. It should be noted that Glycyrrhiza uralensis is a valuable medicinal plant. Its solid extract is widely used in folk medicine, as well as in medicine.
