Invasive plant specıes on the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus
Summary
The article provides information on invasive plants growing on the territory of the Southern Macro slope of the Greater Caucasus (Ismayilli, Oguz, Gabala, Zagatala, Gakh and Balakan administrative regions of Azerbaijan). In the course of the study, the distribution and frequency of occurrence of invasive species were studied, taxonomic, biomorphological and bioecological analysis of the species composition of the invasive flora was carried out. On the territory, 36 invasive species belonging to 11 families and 26 genera were recorded, of which 24 potentially invasive species were identified as ephemerophytes and colonophytes, and 12 as epecophytes and agriophytes. It was found that invasive species in the study area have already penetrated into natural and semi-natural plant communities. Communities with invasive plants were identified. According to the rate of spread and penetration into semi-natural and natural phytocenoses, highly active, mediumactive and low-active invasive species, as well as their ratio and distribution in administrative regions were determined. Analysis of the state of the invasive flora of the study area shows that an increased activity of invasive representatives is currently observed.
