Ecological–phytocenotic and demographic characteristics of rare species cenopopula - tions in Quba region

Summary

In the article, for the first time, the ontogenet - ic and demographic structure of cenopopula - tions (CP) is studied using the population-on - togenetic approach, as well as an assessment of the hemerobia of rare species Galanthus alpinus var. alpinus, Platanthera chlorantha and Crocus speciosus included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan (2013). The research was carried out in 2017-2020 in Quba region. The concept of a discrete description of ontogenesis was used to determine the ontogenetic states of individuals. The indices of age, recovery and replacement, aging and efficiency were calcu - lated. CP types were defined according to the delta-omega (Δ-ω) classification. An extended version of Yalas system was used to assess the hemerobia of communities. A total of 10 CPs were examined: CP 1-5 - G. alpinus var. alpinus; CP 6-8 – P. chlorantha; CP 9-10 – C. speciosus. The basic ontogenetic spectrum of most cenopopu - lations, with the exception of CP 1-3 and CP 6 (due to the absence of senile individuals), is normal fullmember. According to the Δ–ω classification, CP 1, 3, 5-6, 8 and 9 are characterized as young, CP 4 is maturing and CP 2, 7 and 10 are transitional type. Assessment of the hemerobia of the studied species showed that P. chlorantha is most sensitive to anthropogenic influences. In cenoses with P. chlorantha, the share of anthropotolerant spe - cies is 27%, which is less than the share of such species in cenoses with G. alpinus var. alpinus (37%) and C. speciosus (36%).
