The floristic diversity and dynamics of river basins in the northern part of the Lesser Caucasus

Summary

The article provides information on the floristic diversity and dynamics of river basins in the northern part of the Lesser Caucasus. It has been established that the floristic diversity of the Shamkirchay basin consists of 668 plant species belonging to 75 families, 240 genera, the Kurakchay basin - 870 species belonging to 370 genera and 95 families, the Goshgarchay basin - 410 species belonging to 50 families, 110 genera, of the Zayamchay basin - 445 species belonging to 65 families, 180 genera, and finally the Ganjachai basin - 602 species belonging to 60 families and 98 genera. It was revealed that 36 species in the Shamkirchay basin, 32 species in the Kurakchay basin, 43 species in the Goshgarchay basin, 45 species in the Zayamchchay basin, 35 species in the Ganjachai basin are endangered. The article also provides the phytocenotic and bioecological characteristics of some phytocenoses.
