Distribution of leafy mosses on species of the family Rosaceae Juss.

Summary

During the research work carried out in Lerik district of Azerbaijan, epiphytic leafy moss species common on trees and shrubs of the family Rose were collected and identified. The main task of the research is to study the species composition of epiphytic leafy mosses common on trees and shrubs of the family Rose in Lerik and to identify rare bryological species for Azerbaijan. As a result, 3 leafy moss species belonging to 2 families and 3 genera were identified for the bryological flora of Azerbaijan. These species are: Dicranum scoparium Hedw belonging to genus Dicranum Hedw., family Dicranaceae Schimp.; Paraleucobryum longifolium (Ehrh. ex Hedw.) Peterfi. belonging to genus Paraleucobryum (Lindb. ex Limpr.) Peterfi of the same family; Mniobryum carneum (F. Weber & D.Mohr) Limpr. belonging to the genus Mniobryum Limpr. of the family Mielichhoferiaceae Schimp.
