The species of the genus Cirsium distributed in Karabakh

Summary

In the article, the species of the genus Cirsium distributed in Karabakh were investigated, their areas were specified, nomenclature changes were noted, and a GIS map of the species was drawn up. The genus Cirsium was developed by us for the new edition of Karabakh flora. Based on literature materials and herbarium and monitoring data collected during expeditions organized in recent years, the distribution of nine species and one subspecies of this genus in Karabakh was determined: C.vulgare, C.kosmelii, C.echinus, C. canum, C. elodes, C. subinerme, C. rhizocephalum, C.obvallatum, C. arvense, C. arvense var. vestitum The article provides information on the description of the genus and species, nomenclature types, basionyms, synonyms, distribution in Karabakh and geographical type.
